『実存』
実存／ナナメ/naname
先日リリースした1st Full Album『ロカンタン』の表題曲、『実存』です。
表題は『ロカンタン』じゃねぇか、というツッコミがほとんどだと思いますが、
このアルバムは哲学者J・P・サルトルの思想に大きな影響を受けている作品でして。
ちょっとその話から。
サルトルは、20世紀フランスの哲学者。
「実存主義哲学」を提唱した人として現代哲学史に名を刻んだ思想家です。
「実存主義」とは、簡単に言えば、
椅子は座るために存在し、
ハサミはものを切るために存在するが、
人間には、そうした生まれながらの役割（本質）が確定していない。
人間は本質を欠いたままこの世に生を受けこの世を生きていくのである。
という思想。
そしてその上で、
「今、ここに、存在する私」に重きを置いて、
自らが主体的にその本質を作っていく。
と、議論が進められる。
本質が確定していないということは、自由を与えられているに等しいのだ。
しかし、自由というのは残酷である。
サルトルは自由を悲観的に捉える。
なぜなら、人間が悩むのは、自由があるからだ。
最初から自分の役割や使命がはっきりとわかっていて、
それに従いさえすれば良いのなら、人は悩んだりなんてしない。
サルトルはこのような思想を一冊の小説にまとめた。
『嘔吐』と名付けられたその本は、ノーベル文学賞を受賞した。（サルトルは受賞を辞退）
そして、その小説『嘔吐』の主人公の名前が、「ロカンタン」である。
だから、『ロカンタン』の表題は、「実存」なの。
じゃあ、本質の決まっていない我々人間は、
どう生きればいいんだろう。
何も決まっていないんだから、どこに進めばいいか、
どこの道が正しいのか、
なんて、はじめからない。
過去を振り返ってみると、それはそれは、あたたかいものだった。
ただただ、人生を駆け回っていた。
何も、心配せずに。
「裸足で駆け出した夏
木漏れ日さえ優しくて」
しかし人は大人になる。
世界を知る。
自分はまだ、木漏れ日の美しさの中にいたいのに、
「自分を写した影が
闇に溶けてゆく」
青、とは、「青春」のこと。
「夜風と共に舞い踊っていた」煌びやかな青春は、
「夢にまで見る」ほど憧れていたものだった。
確かに私は、幸せに包まれていた。
しかし、そんな幸せは束の間、
「掌の上を転げ」落ちていく。
星、は煌びやかなものの象徴。
針、は時間。
それらは限りあるもので、
次第に消えていく。
「星」「針」の中で、
私は「微笑んで」いた。
もう時は過ぎた。
「青」は終わる。
二度と戻ることのない「青」
その幸せを忘れないよう、
そしてそれらと共に生きていくため、
私は「心を抱く」。
「実存」していた日々は終わる。
しかし私はまだ「存在」している。
裸足で駆け出した夏は過ぎて、
これからどう「実存」を見つけていけばいいのだろう。

何度聞いても飽きないプログレの王者。
No Oppotunity Necessary, No Experience Needed / YES
2017年、「ロックの殿堂」入り。
まぁ業績からしたら当たり前だけど。
1985年にはグラミー賞も受賞している。
EL＆Pと共に、「プログレ四天王」と呼ばれる彼らは、
複雑怪奇な楽曲構成と神秘的な歌詞が猟奇的である。
今回はNo Oppotunity Necessary, No Experience Neededを紹介したが、
他にも名曲は山ほどあるし、
制作時期によってメンバーも楽曲の色も全く違うので、
digっていてこれほど楽しいバンドはないと思う。
是非とも、さらに調べることを強くお勧めする。
このPV、今の時代じゃ絶対作れないよね。

この手のハードロックはやはり泣かせてくる。
Wait For You / Stone Broken
Nickelbackみを感じる、Stone Broken。
日本人にはまだあまり馴染みがないかもしれないこのバンド。
wikiも英語版しかなさそうだしね。
Stone Brokenは各楽器のバランスが素晴らしい。
MIXも、きっとバンドの理想通りなんだと思う。
バスもスネアもすごく気持ちいいし、
BaもGtもしっかりと欲しい音域を埋めている。
Voの声質も非常にセンシティブ。
今後注目のバンドであることは間違いない。
早く来日しないかなぁ。
北欧にパワーメタル現る。
The Human Paradox / Dynazty
北欧といえば、もっとメロスピだったりシンフォニックだったりなイメージなんだけど、
割と正統派なパワーメタルバンドをdigした。
まぁ、シンセ入ってて北欧を隠しきれてないけどね笑
しかしギターのリフはまさにパワーメタル。
ガッツリコンプ効いてる音がたまらんですわ。
シンセのメロディも非常に美しい。
最近のメタルはどうもデジタル化が進んでいるというか、
Djentとかも「近未来感」がすごいけれど、
こういう今までの正統派メタルを受け継いでいる者達の音楽も、
やっぱりいいね。

フェロー諸島ってどこだよ。
って思ってたらイントロに沈められた。
ものすごく北欧の香りがする楽曲。
って、調べたらバンド名も北欧神話に由来したものなのね。
このyみたいな文字、勘弁して欲しい。
バンドの読み方は「ティア」です。
にしてもかっこいいバンドだなこれ。
個人的に北欧メタルが性癖ど真ん中ってのもあるんだが、
いやしかし個人の好みを超えて普遍的にかっこいいんだと思う。
フェロー諸島、ノーマークでした。
